Today, with a turnover of ñ30 million, production plants in Italy, and a Centre of Research, Development and Quality Control, the company is now one of the leading players in the market, both locally and internationally, with stocks present across the Middle-Eastern market. Mauro Guarnaccia, MENA Manager, Condor, shares his views on The Big 5 event and the company´s plans for the same.
What are your expectations from The Big 5 event this year?
The Big 5 is a great opportunity for international showcasing for any manufacturer who wants to engage himself in the Gulf and the Middle East area; a chance to meet all the major companies operating in the construction sector. Our expectations can be nothing but positive, considering this event acts as a functional consolidation of relationships with loyal customers, and an occasion to look for new collaborations.
Which are the products that you will showcase at the event this year?
Condor is going to launch the Optimo formwork. This formwork is designed for foundation, walls, columns and elevator shaft. It features high modularity and versatility. Comax Panels can be found H=300 cm and H=150 cm (on demand available as well H=270 cm and H=330 cm) where it is possible to overlap an additional panel when it comes to higher structure works. Optimo system formwork is recommended for any type of project supporting a casting pressure up to 60 kN per sq m (DIN Standard 18218).
Also, elaborate on the company´s strategies to generate sales.
The Big 5, as well as other important trade fairs in the sector, represent an important time in order to open new business opportunities. A crucial point that one can´t exclude, is good pre- and post-event preparation. In order to be more competitive, this year Condor has opened a new warehouse in Dubai that supports our commercial strategies of increasing long term synergies with our customers, and creating a logistic center in the GCC area.
How do you view the current market for the building sector?
The gulf area is certainly a fast-paced, fast-growing market, bearing in mind eminent future events, such as EXPO, Dubai and FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar, but that is not all. Both residential and industrial sectors in this area are definitely superior compared to any other areas in the world.
