Sika, a specialty chemicals company with a leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection in the building sector and automotive industry, has subsidiaries in 94 countries around the world and manufactures in over 170 factories. The company opened its subsidiary in Qatar and started its activities in this growing market in January, 2013. Gaby El Chaar, General Manager, Sika Qatar, shares the company´s expectations from the event.
What are your expectations from Project Qatar this year?
The Qatar economy is resilient. We believe Project Qatar 2016 is an excellent venue to exhibit our recent innovations in the world of construction chemicals and solutions.
What will your offerings be at the event?
Our recent innovation in the field of substructure waterproofing, carbon fiber and composite solutions for structural strengthening, exciting decorative flooring concepts and environmentally-friendly sustainable green concrete admixtures, to meet the high expectations of Qatar mega projects designers, are our focus for 2016.
Any special plans to attract visitors to your booth?
We will have special events focused on new products launches and recent innovations focusing on facades, joint sealants and composite solutions for structural strengthening.

We expect participants to focus on quality and green concepts for construction.
What are your strategies to generate sales from the event?
This is one building block in our strategy. Our long-term commitments in every market is evident and sales will happen as a natural outcome of our clients choice.
