What are your expectations from Project Qatar this year?
Since this is the first time that Nakheel Landscapes is participating at the event, expectations are centred on reinforcing our presence in the sports market, which is becoming a growing feature of most new construction projects in Qatar.
What will your offerings be at the event?
The company has cemented strong relationships with a number of well-known international brands,including Tiger Turf, UK (artificial grass);Trocellen, Germany (shock pads for play surfaces); Envirostik, UK (adhesive systems for artificial grass); Helo, Germany (sports and athletics equipment, goals, benches); Greencourt, Germany (mini-football and rebound sports arenas), Huck, Germany (sports nets and playground equipment); Precision, US (turf fans); and Nottssports, UK (synthetic play surfaces), to name a few.
Brief us on the new launches planned.
Particularly, Greencourt mini-football arenas and Helo sports equipment, where we want to build on the success of the eight football arenas recently installed at the Aspire Sports Zone. We will also launch Precision USA, with the introduction of their turf fan range, as well as Huck´s range of sports netting and playground equipment.
Any special plans to attract visitors to your booth?
A lunch time presentation will be arranged to introduce the representatives of our suppliers to top decision makers of construction companies, Governmental organizations and sports consultant.
What are your strategies to generate sales from the event?
Continuous and concerted effort to demonstrate to the client that quality product, together with expert installation and maintenance prolongs the life span of sports venues which provides increased value for money.
Who will be your target buyers at the event?
Project Consultants; Project and Procurement Managers.
How do you view the current building and construction market in Qatar?
Certain sections of the Qatari construction market is being influenced by the current down-turn in the international oil industry. Despite this, preparations for the upcoming sports events are still on-going. We have not been much affected by current events.
