Introduce us to the current building and infrastructure market in Oman.
Although low oil prices are a constraint to the Oman economy, the government aims at boosting growth through investing and economic diversification in fields like ores and minerals, agriculture, textile, retail and tourism. Recent private foreign investors, especially in the industrial, IT, tourism and higher education fields are lending their support for industrial development plans that focus on gas resources, metal manufacturing, petrochemicals, and international transshipment ports. Further, projects including now operational and the largest port of Oman-Duqm, upcoming railway projects, new Muscat expressway expansion, various free hold properties and big malls have created a boom in construction industry.
What type of projects drive maximum demand for your products?
These majorly include projects in the infrastructure segment; industries, commercial and ministerial buildings; and individual house segment.
What is the USP of your products?
We have commenced operations at Al-Amerat, which is a fast developing city near Muscat. Speaking of USP, we offer environment-friendly green concrete with fly-ash, waterproof concrete, lightweight concrete along with excellent technical service. We can ensure perennial supply of quality concrete throughout Oman with our diversified experience in the field.
How do you ensure quality in your offerings û for the final product as well as raw materials?
As per the inspection and testing plan of our quality management system, all the raw materials of concrete are tested periodically. Our centralised lab ensures that all incoming materials, final products and finished products meet their requirement. To ensure this, we conduct stringent testing as per the international and local standards that are accepted in Oman.
The company has a fully equipped state-of-the-art workshop in Muscat to maintain equipment and vehicles at top operational efficiency.
Apart from our centralised workshop, we provide a work facility with mechanics and tools to all our outside locations as well. That said, all our workshops can attend to any type of preventive and breakdown maintenance as and when required.

Tell us about your aggregate manufacturing operations.
Our aggregate making crusher is an integral part of our operations, which serves 60 per cent of our raw material need. We also supply aggregates to various outside customers.
With a vast presence in Oman, any further expansion plans on the anvil?
We recently commissioned our operations at Amerat, and in the beginning of next year, will have a modern German Batching Plant at Gifnain.
How do you see the construction market growing in Oman?
The government has plans to invest in various infrastructure projects like ports, roads, bridges, airport and railways. It is also in the process of constructing various schools, hospitals, mosque, etc, for its citizens. That said, a boom in construction is evident and this will provide immense scope for the RMC industry.
