Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will organise 15th Water, Energy and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) under the aegis of the Supreme Council of Energy for Dubai from April 15 to 17, 2013, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). The theme of the event was 'Sustainable Development for All'.
"The display area of the show has been in¡creased by 22 per cent to cover 40,000 sq m from the last year," reveals Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy and Managing Director and CEO of DEWA.
The exhibition is being organised under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA."
WETEX 2013 has attracted participation of ministries, government departments and organisations, municipalities, national and international companies and organizations, and public interest organizations concerned with the water, energy, environment issues, oil & gas and energy. Over 32 countries will participate in the event including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, USA, Canada, Brazil, Uruguay, Anguilla, France, Netherland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Finland, Austria, Belgium, Malta, United Kingdom, Russia, Malaysia, Turkey, China, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Japan and Iran.
The show will discuss the latest solutions pertaining to green buildings in light of its responsibility to disseminate these technologies that conserve the consumption of energy and preserve natural resources. Furthermore, it will discuss international environment issues including climate change as part of its role as a leading show in electricity, water, energy, environment and oil & gas.
The event will tackle important issues related to rapid developments and challenges faced by the sectors of electricity, water, environment, oil & gas and energy as well as identify solutions and practices. DEWA will participte in the event through a mega pavilion in tje Zabeel hall as well as its green buildings booth that is in compliance with highest environment standards. The booth will witness a variety of activities to raise awareness on the importance of preserving natural resources.
Alongwith the event the third SmarTech will provide an ideal platform to enhance interaction between companies and end-users as well as showcase, promote and market green-centric technologies, goods and services.
WETEX 2013 has seen a remarkable increase in the number of sponsors. A total of 54 companies have joined as sponsors, compared to 37 sponsors in 2012.
WETEX 2013 will hold a series of seminars and lectures attracting experts and professionals in electricity, water, energy, environment and oil & gas from the public and private sectors to address the growing advancements in these aforementioned sectors. The show display the latest products and solutions in electricity, water, energy, environment and oil & gas including agricultural equipment, treatment of salty water systems, lab and testing equipments and modern irrigation systems boilers, pumps, valves, pipes, electric transformers, connectors, energy saving products, generators, power transmission and distribution products.
WETEX will also feature latest technologies in renewable energy and fossil fuels through a series of sessions covering practices and challenges of this field in the MENA region with the aim of enhancing environment sustainability and moving forward in preserving natural resources for generations to come.
