Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, CEO, Qatargas, has accomplished a major milestone in the construction phase of the LR2 refinery project in Qatar by achieving 5 million man-hours without a lost time injury (LTI). The project is part of Qatar's National Vision 2030 for ensuring energy-efficient supplies for the country and meeting the most stringent environmental specifications. Under his guidance, the project will contribute to maximising opportunities to produce high quality refined products. Al-Thani took the top spot at Qatar Gas in 2010, and since then has developed it into one of the most important and successful companies globally. Today, under his supervision, Qatargas has become one of the largest LNG producing companies in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonne per annum.
