Founded in 1997 in Jebel Ali, Dubai, Mammut Building Systems is one of the largest manufacturers of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB's) and Polyurethane Injected Sandwich Panels in the world.
Mammut Building System (MBS) deploys the best engineering software and advanced production machinery in the design, manufacture and supply of PEB's; currently boasting a monthly production capacity of 7,000 metric tonne PEB's, allowing its company to handle fast-track jobs in the shortest possible time. MBS enjoys a reputation for designing, engineering, manufacturing and shipping PEB's in less than eight weeks and at a price, which is 20 to 30 per cent lower than that of conventional steel buildings. Since the year of its inception, the company has supplied more than 10,000 buildings to more than 50 countries across the globe.
PEB's first originated in the US post World War II; they comprise a complete steel-framed building with pre-designed components to best suit individual requirements. They are like complete building shells with sub-structural systems including mezzanine floors, crane systems, canopies, fascias and interior partitions. The advantages for customers include low initial investment, fast construction, low maintenance costs, large clear spans, infinite choice of layouts, inherent resistance to earthquakes, ease of expansion and unique appearance. The functional versatility of PEB's renders them suitable for industrial, commercial, recreational, institutional, educational, aviation and agricultural applications, such as factories, workshops, warehouses, sports halls, aircraft hangars, bulk storages, cold storages, poultry buildings and low-rise steel buildings.
Apart from PEB's, MBS can also deliver 1,500 tonne per month of structural steel for a wide variety of projects, including desalination and power plants, steel mills, high rises, bridge girders, factories, water towers, steel platforms, petrochemical or oil and gas sectors.
True to its spirit of innovation, MBS has introduced a new purlin, G-2, which can go up to 12 m or more, offering greater flexibility and the possibility of fewer frames and foundations resulting in greater savings of time and space. G-2's evolutionary open-web C-section design affords greater strength as compared to conventional purlins, along with the added advantage of the large web openings accommodating more wiring, plumbing and even HVAC services, sans suspension services.
Indeed, Mammut is keeping up with its vision of ‘seeking to be passionate about innovation in all aspects of business, building with integrity, serving internal and external customers with sincerity, and delivering excellence at all times'.
