Supreme Industries Limited is one of the leading manufacturers of diversified plastic products with 25 manufacturing plants spread across India. The company that has converted 310,000 tons of polymers into various products, had an annual turnover of USD 660 million for the year 2014-15. Narendra Bhagdikar, General Manager, Supreme Industries Limited shares his views on The Big 5 event.
What are your expectations from The Big 5 Dubai Event this year?
Supreme Industries Limited has been regularly participating in The Big 5 exhibition to enhance its brand image, specially in the GCC market. We expect a lot from The Big 5 event simply because it is the biggest exhibition for construction and building materials across the Middle East.
Which are the products that you will showcase at the event this year?
Supreme is showcasing a complete range of plastic piping products made from uPVC, CPVC, PPR and HDPE for pressure & non-pressure applications manufactured according to various international standards with special emphasis on PPR Pipes & Fittings, Inspection Chambers, Manholes and Solvent Cements. We are launching Fire Sprinklers systems made out of CPVC.
What are the factors that compelled you to participate in the event this year?
Since the last three decades, Supreme has establish global footprints across 30 countries covering five continents. Apart from that there are many countries where our piping products have great potential. The Big 5 is emerging as one of the biggest events for the exposition of construction materials, and hence we expect a good number of visitors from across the globe.
How do you view the current market for the building and construction sectors in the GCC?
The current market for the building and construction sectors is sluggish´ mainly due to the liquidity issue and overall political uncertainty. We hope the situation improves in 2016.
