QATAR POSTS $26BN SURPLUS FOR JUL-SEPT
Qatar's government budget leaped into a large surplus of $26bn (QR 94.6 bn) in the July-September period, the second quarter of its 2012/13 fiscal year.The fiscal surplus of the world's number one exporter of liquefied natural gas was equivalent to 53.9 per cent of gross domestic product in the period. It was more than double the $11.6 bn (QR 42.2 bn) surplus recorded in the same quarter of the previous year, and compared with a $5.1bn (QR 18.5 bn) deficit in April-June....
